This is a wonderful site to use in the classroom. I was moved to tears watching the movie ASPCA and the foundation for Invisible Children created. These short animated clips create awareness. I never knew "Invisible Children" existed until now. When I teach the unit on Africa I will be showing this video so that my students are aware of how children in Uganda for instance live on a daily basis. It is a great tool to use in the classroom as a way to enlighten students about events and conditions people experience in the US and abroad. One video was created by someone asking for donations made to a particular food pantry in Missouri. The words, statistics, facts, pictures and music when put together created a very powerful message. Not only are these clips wonderful to show depending on the content one teaches, but the site is very user friendly if a teacher wants to create an animated movie clip with his/ her class. I could envision a teacher possibly creating an animated video with the class on a social studies unit such as the Civil Rights Movement. I am looking forward to making a clip of my own! What a great resource.
Neat site. Being a Star Trek fan, I loved that they have a whole bunch of Star Trek figures and props. However, I did not care for the Revenge of the Turds animation (even though it made staff pick and top animation).
On the education side, it gives students another avenue to express their ideas in a fun and creative way. As shown by the sample animations, moving results can be achieved. A few of the photos seemed to be of poor quality and I was wondering if anyone knew if that was a problem with the site program or the photos used by the producer of the animation?
I like it, I think is a good tool to engage student to participate in class. Definitely students can express their ideas by creating animations on this site.
I enjoyed exploring this site and I am anxious to have the time to make my own animated movie. I could see teachers using this as a way to introduce students to a new topic or get them excited about something. I bet you wouldn't have wandering eyese if an animated character was teaching you. It would be a great hook for the younger students. I also could really see high school students getting into this. It would be a great way for a teacher to find out what students learned after a unit. It would be fun for the students and a very creative way to express themselves. I really like this site.
This is a very cool site. Teaching at the high school level means always looking for new ways to entertain while learning. I feel like making a video!
I like that this is an interactive site where the students can put their feelings and emotions into the video. It would be great so use in a classroom where you are studying about a serious topic that needs a visual to go along with text. I'd try it in my classroom and see what happened!

I think this is a great "extras" program. I can see it not only being used to open for school news but also used for bully and drug prevention lessons. It also kind of reminds me of Diary of a Wimpy kid, so maybe it could be used in a literacy aspect as well. Students could create their own stories.
I like how you can use real pictures as props or backgrounds. I also like that you can record your voice via telephone in case you don't have a microphone for you computer. It would save a lot of time in the computer lab if students wrote out their scripts for their comics and for homework recorded their voice via their phones. Then they don't have to worry about picking up other peoples voice in class when they are trying to record.
Overall, I think this can be a very exciting site for the students.
The clip was fun to watch. I was impressed with the animation. Go Animate would be fun for me to use when I teach my ethics lessons. I have to investigate the site and learn all about it. It would be fun to involve my students next year and create a clip for one of our science or Social Studies units and then share it with the rest of the grade level.

I was just thinking, I wonder if you could use this to create a small play? If everyone created puppets and small character masks, learned lines, and then presented in front of the camera I think this would be a great place to post it. I know my kids love to make plays happen on the stage at school but then they can't watch them back. I think I want to try this in the fall.
This is a great site to use in my Spanish class. I have always had my students draw scenes using the past tense and then describes each others as well. This will be a great more advanced way to accomplish that. But this website can be used in all different kinds of classes. You can recreate a scene from Romeo and Juliet or Hamlet. You can re create a time in history, When Julius Cesar was betrayed by Marc Anthony. It would be great to use this year, i just have to figure out when.
